YOGA TEACHER TRAINER

“What if our religion was each other, if our practice was our life, if prayers our words? What if the temple was the earth, if forests were our church, if holy waters – the rivers, lakes, and oceans. What if meditation was our relationships, if the teacher was life, if wisdom was self-knowledge, if love was the center of our being?” -Ganga White

Full Offering: Layers of Self – Exploring the Yogic Koshas. A Yoga Nidra meditation for deep internal enquiry and relaxation.

MAGIC MOMENTS. Interview

DESCRIBE, FOR OUR LISTENERS, SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF?

There are many moments that I am proud of in my yoga journey. I think if I look back over the last decade or more, where I was holding 200 hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, I think what really stands out for me, and has touched me, is witnessing people’s journeys as they go through a month of these practices that have the potential to be really transformative. I do not take for granted, seeing how people enter at the beginning of the journey and what they come out the other end with; in terms

<cont.> of having a deeper knowing of themselves and having a better sense of what their own deeper purpose is in life.

For some, that may not be “Yoga” related at all. They may not continue on to teach Yoga, but something in them woke up to follow a truer path, one that is more aligned with their own soul. That to me really stands out. I’m proud of that – that people are led to a deeper place within themselves. I feel if we have more human beings that are connected to their deeper inspiration and purpose – we have a better world.

SHARE THREE QUICK TIPS?

1. Always do Savasana. Break out of doing mode and slow down. Give yourself time and space for integration during and after a Yoga practice because that’s where a lot of the transformation and insight occurs. 2. Learn to listen to the wisdom of body. Really listen to and trust your own heart’s guidance – that deeper, quieter voice that can arise through a Yoga practice. 3. Be kind starting with yourself and to others.
